MEDIA RELEASE: Ipswich West State Budget Wish List

The Member for Ipswich West, Wendy Bourne MP, is calling on the Crisafulli
Government not to forget Ipswich West in the upcoming 2026-27 State Budget.

For too long, the people of Ipswich West have watched other communities receive
investment while local priorities continue to be delayed.

Ms Bourne said the time has come for the Crisafulli government to step up and deliver
the Mt Crosby Interchange. Already Labor governments have secured $177million as a
downpayment, this government needs to just get on with it.

The local member also highlighted that this is an opportunity for the Crisafulli
Government to deliver some real cost of living relief, more social and affordable
housing, upgraded fencing and infrastructure for our growing schools, and more funding
to local sporting and community organisations.

Quotes attributable to the State Member for Ipswich West, Wendy Bourne MP:

“I am calling on the government to ensure Ipswich West is not overlooked in this year’s
budget and to commit to the projects our community has been advocating for”.

“As Queensland’s fastest growing region, ‘it’s time’ for this LNP Government to deliver
the investment our community is crying out for. The people of Ipswich West are tired of
waiting”.

“If the Government is serious about ‘delivering’, it should stop spending millions on blue
advertising and instead deliver these much-needed projects”.

“I will continue to fight every day to ensure the people of Ipswich West are heard and
that our community receives the attention it deserves.”
