There’s something truly special about our country shows, and the Rosewood Show is
one of the best examples of what makes our community here in Ipswich so special.
As a proud Rosewood local who lives and has raised my family here, the Rosewood
Show has always held a special place in my heart. Each year, it brings together families,
farmers, businesses, community groups, and volunteers for a celebration of everything
that makes Rosewood such a great place to live.
From livestock competitions and equestrian events to arts, crafts, produce and
entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re a lifelong local
or visiting for the first time, the Rosewood Show offers a fantastic day out for the whole
family.
Country shows are the lifeblood of communities like Rosewood. They showcase the
hard work of our local producers, provide opportunities for community groups to raise
funds, and bring people together in a way that few other events can.
Most importantly, they remind us of the strong sense of community that exist in our
regions. I see firsthand each and every day the willingness of locals to step up and
support one another, and these values are proudly on display at country shows like
these.
I also want to acknowledge the incredible work of the Rosewood Show Society and the
many volunteers who dedicate countless hours to making the event a success each
year. Their commitment ensures this much-loved tradition continues to thrive for future
generations.
This year’s show on the 26th and 27th June is particularly significant as the Rosewood
Show prepares to celebrate an extraordinary milestone next year of 150 years. This truly
is a testament to our community.
I encourage everyone to come along, bring your family and friends, and enjoy everything
the Rosewood Show has to offer.
